Khalil J. Khalil is the founder and principal of K. J. Khalil Law Offices, Ltd.  He has practiced immigration law exclusively for nearly 15 years.  Prior to establishing K. J. Khalil Law Offices, Ltd., Khalil practiced immigration law at a sizeable Loop law firm, and later in a law partnership.

Khalil has extensive experience in not only core immigration law, but other areas of law that compliment immigration law.  His knowledge of the intricacies and interplay between immigration law and entertainment, criminal, national security, labor, contract, business, and domestic relation law necessitate a specifically tailored strategy to every matter he is called upon to resolve.  Khalil is often relied upon by experienced criminal defense attorneys, sports executives, international scholars, HR managers, and others to tackle complicated immigration matters often mired in mistakes from previous representation.

Khalil has represented international and national professional athletes and coaches, sports academies, Olympians, musicians, and other entertainers.  He has counseled professional clubs including several from the MLB, as well as universities and their athletic departments, and other not-for-profit organizations.  Khalil’s knowledge and expertise are sought after by significant members of society such as foreign consulates and their consuls, mayors, local representatives, other attorneys, and even high-profile convicted terrorists and criminals.

Khalil’s tenacity for client success is reflected in his relentless representation of clients in Federal Courts, Immigration Courts, and before various Government Agencies.  He has successfully represented individuals in complex cases implicating national security, as well as cases preserving family unity in the face of deportation.

Khalil is a graduate of DePaul University College of Law (J.D., 2003). He previously graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit (B.A., cum laude, 1999). He is admitted to the Illinois Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (trial bar), the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
